{"id":10069,"date":"2019-04-09T17:10:27","date_gmt":"2019-04-09T20:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=10069"},"modified":"2019-04-09T17:10:27","modified_gmt":"2019-04-09T20:10:27","slug":"beaver-bank-man-charged-in-robbery-at-sackville-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=10069","title":{"rendered":"Beaver Bank man charged in robbery at Sackville business"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>LOWER SACKVILLE:<\/strong> A 32-year-old man from Beaver Bank has been charged with robbery from a business in Lower Sackville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halifax District RCMP said the robbery occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on April 8 in the 600 block of Sackville Drive. where he demanded hydromorphone <br \/><br \/>Upon arriving at the scene, a preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, confronted an employee and demanded hydromorphone pills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The employee feared that the suspect may have a weapon as he was keeping one hand in his pocket. After receiving a quantity of hydromorphone pills, the suspect fled the store. <br \/><br \/> A witness provided a description of the suspect and his direction of travel, which assisted police in\u00a0identifying him.\u00a0He was arrested without incident during a traffic stop in Dartmouth. <br \/><br \/> John Charles Auld, 32, has been charged with Robbery; and Wearing a Mask While Committing an Indictable Offence. He was remained into custody and will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court on April 10.<br \/><br \/> The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halifax Regional Police K-9 unit assisted with the search.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LOWER SACKVILLE: A 32-year-old man from Beaver Bank has been charged with robbery from a business in Lower Sackville.
