These restrictions are reviewed and updated as needed.\u00a0<br \/>As of May 22, 2020, the<strong> following exceptions<\/strong> to visitor restrictions have been added:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Two support people for:<\/li><li>people receiving palliative care or medical assistance in dying<\/li><li>children admitted to hospital&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>labour and birth&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>One support person for:<\/li><li>children in outpatient settings<\/li><li>patients who need assistance, including but not limited to cancer care, some emergency, outpatient or critical care situations, discharge planning (a healthy person to pick up discharged patients)<\/li><li>patients with significant cognitive or physical disabilities who need an essential support person in order to receive care&nbsp;<\/li><li><\/li><li><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;34&#8243;]&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions about these exceptions, please talk to your care team.<br \/>If you feel unwell (fever\/chills\/sweats, new cough or a cough that&#8217;s getting worse, sore throat, runny nose\/nasal congestion, headache or shortness of breath) or are waiting for results of COVID-19 test results, please do not visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;6&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;7&#8243;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HALIFAX: Visitor restrictions are in place at all NSHA facilities to help to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
