{"id":14483,"date":"2020-05-23T10:45:23","date_gmt":"2020-05-23T13:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=14483"},"modified":"2020-05-23T10:45:23","modified_gmt":"2020-05-23T13:45:23","slug":"molly-white-identified-by-baseball-canada-officials-for-prospects-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=14483","title":{"rendered":"Molly White identified by Baseball Canada officials for Prospects Team"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FALL RIVER:<\/strong> A Fall River women\u2019s baseball player has been named as one of two Bluenosers identified by officials of the Baseball Canada Women\u2019s National Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a release posted by Baseball Canada, Molly White of Fall River, a first basemen\/Right-handed pitcher was named. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Julia Konigshofer, a third basemen\/Right-handed pitcher was the other Nova Scotian named on the team, which includes four from B.C. and Quebec; one NL player; one Manitoba player; and one Ontario player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;36&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baseball Canada said these athletes were on the path to compete on the \u201cProspects Team\u201d at the Women\u2019s Invitational Championships later this year in Stonewall, Manitoba prior to the event being cancelled due to Covid19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur intent behind identifying these athletes is to keep them motivated throughout the year as they continue to work towards their baseball goals,\u201d said Women\u2019s National Team General Manager Andr\u00e9 Lachance. \u201cGiven that we\u2019re in a unique circumstance with baseball being shutdown due to the pandemic, we wanted to come up with a way to keep these athletes engaged in our sport and programming.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 13 athletes that have been identified competed in the 16U Girls Invitational last summer in Bedford, Nova Scotia that had representatives from all ten provinces for the first time in event history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;2&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;30&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;25&#8243;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FALL RIVER: A Fall River women\u2019s baseball player has been named as one of two Bluenosers identified by officials of the Baseball Canada Women\u2019s National Team.
