{"id":16130,"date":"2020-08-14T11:29:30","date_gmt":"2020-08-14T14:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=16130"},"modified":"2020-08-14T11:29:30","modified_gmt":"2020-08-14T14:29:30","slug":"choppy-waters-dont-deter-brigaswim-participants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=16130","title":{"rendered":"Choppy waters don&#8217;t deter BrigaSwim participants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>DOLLAR LAKE: <\/strong>The water may have been a bit rough and choppy off Dollar Lake Provincial Park, but that didn&#8217;t stop a Milford woman from conquering it&#8211;all for a good cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grace Heukshorst, a lifeguard at Dollar Lake, and Paul D&#8217;eon, the director of the Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service (NSLS), both took to the waters as part of the BrigaSwim fundraiser for Brigadoon Village. The BrigaSwim took place between Aug. 10-14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heukshorst, a HERH alum, swam her one kilometre Brigadon swim at Dollar Lake in less than 17 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/117695465_739118053553071_557164671808058085_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16133\" width=\"606\" height=\"845\"\/><figcaption>All in the family! Both Grace and Paul are still hard at work Fundraising for this worthy cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heukshorst was one of the many N.S.
