SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD:<\/strong> The green flag has flown on the COVID19 shortened 2020 race season at Scotia Speedworld, near Enfield, albeit without any fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first night of race action Aug. 21 at the track located across from Halifax Stanfield Airport, local East Hants drivers Gage Gilby in the no. 25 (Bandolero Outlaw division); Matt Vaughan of Lantz (Sportsman); and Shubenacadie\u2019s Braden Langille were among the ones to wave the checkered flag after the races were over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Laker News is on several of the race cars that are competing. Those cars with our decal finished: first in Beginner Bando with Chase Livingstone in the no.39; Bandit\/Outlaw Bandos 8 Dawson Noble in fourth; 24 Ayden Christenson (sixth, but first Bandit car); 88 Caden Tufts (eighth). Toursec Thunder\/Lightning 141 Richard Drake (fifth); 133 Tyler Hallahan (ninth); and the 168 of Garth Bezanson (12th<\/sup>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second race of the season is set for this Friday night, Aug. 28. Green flag flies at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
