BEAVER BANK:<\/strong> A 35-year-old man from Beaver Bank has been charged for driving in excess of 50 km\/h over the posted speed limit last week in Halifax, a release from Halifax Regional Police says.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n At approximately 7 a.m. on September 18 a member of the Traffic Unit observed a car travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 102 travelling southbound. The officer captured the vehicle\u2019s speed at 152 km\/h in a 100 km\/h zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u200bThe man was ticketed for stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act, a charge that is automatically laid when a vehicle is going more than 50 km\/h over the speed limit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”31″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”34″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition, the man was suspended from driving for one week and the vehicle was seized and towed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u200bThe fine in Nova Scotia for stunting is $2,422.50 and six points are assigned to the driver\u2019s record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues and educate citizens on the rules of the road, our officers focus on speed enforcement.
