FALL RIVER:<\/strong> The MP for Sackville-Preston-Chezzetcook has decided not to throw his name into the ring for the N.S. Liberal Leadership race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Darrell Samson made the announcement on Sept. 28 in a press release sent to The Laker News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the release, Samson, who calls Fall River home, said the decision came after much thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “After thorough deliberation with my family over the past weeks, I have decided that I will not be seeking the nomination for leadership of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party,” said Samson. “The past five years as Member of Parliament for Sackville-Preston-Chezzetcook have been some of the most rewarding of my life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”31″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”34″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Being an MP is a full-time commitment and I would not want a leadership campaign to affect my work as I continue to articulate the concerns and needs of the people of Sackville-Preston-Chezzetcook.
