BEAVER BANK:<\/strong> The quick response of firefighters prevented further damage from a fire in the wee hours of Oct. 4 on Galloway Drive in Beaver Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gord West, District Chief for Division 4 with Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Services, said the call of a structure fire came in at 1:34 a.m., sending close to 20 firefighters to the scene in the 0-100 block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cUpon arrival, fire crews were met with a fully involved shed on fire and a trailer on fire,\u201d said West, adding that Tanker 10 arrived first and took command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Firefighters from Station 48 Beaver Bank; Station 10 (Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville); and Station 11 (Patton Road, Sackville) responded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”31″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”34″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n There was reports of the fire extending into the woods and being within 10 feet of the house, according to Halifax Fire News on twitter, so a second alarm was called.
