WAVERLEY:<\/strong> An annual tradition continued on a sunny Tuesday morning, Nov. 10, in Waverley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children from Becky’s Daycare, led by their two teachers, made the walk from their Rocky Lake Drive location down along the sidewalk to the Waverley Legion for a special presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year for the past few years (at least since this reporter has been covering things for The Laker) the children give a handmade poppy to representatives from the Legion to place at the cenotaph during their Remembrance Day ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this day, the children presented the poppy and sang a great version of O Canada for the Legion members on-hand at the Legion cenotaph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Waverley Legion’s Remembrance Day service will be limited, but will be livestreamed on The Laker’s Facebook page beginning at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
