Cory Bushell said that officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver at around 10:45 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOfficers had been informed the driver hit the front step of a home in the Shubenacadie area,\u201d said S\/Sgt. Bushell. \u201cUpon arrival, members observed the vehicle had also hit a power pole, breaking it off.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;2&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;6&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hitting of the power pole resulted in upwards of 1,000 homes losing power. N.S. Power worked on fixing it and had power restored by approximately 5 a.m. Fire crews from the local departments also attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\/Sgt.
