Cory Bushell provides some highlighted calls from Dec. 22, 2020 to Jan. 5, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Dec. 23, members were conducting a checkpoint&nbsp;on Mill Village Road. A vehicle pulled up, and when the driver was asked to produce his license, he&nbsp;advised his wallet is at home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer was not content with that response, so members conducted the appropriate checks and determined the driver, a 49-year-old East Hants man had his license previously revoked.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver was charged, and his passenger drove home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 54-year-old Walton area man has been charged for not following provincial health order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Dec. 29, East Hants RCMP were alerted to the Walton area where a local resident who had been out of the Atlantic region was failing to self-isolate as directed under the Health Protection Act.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resident was charged under the&nbsp;act and received a $1,000 fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Dec. 30, members were called to the East Noel area for a report of a vehicle crash into a power pole.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\/Sgt. Bushell said the driver was injured and taken to hospital.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInvestigators determined the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver, a 25-year-old East Hants man, was charged with impaired driving. He will appear in court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this period, 21 drivers were pulled over for speeding. Of those, seven were charged for infractions, while 14 were provided with a written warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\/Sgt. Bushell said that members responded to&nbsp;three reports of Break and Enter into a residence.
