Cory Bushell said a member from the detachment was on patrol in the Gormanville area when he observed a Volkswagen Golf travelling at a high rate of speed along the road, near Findley Road in North Noel Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe officer clocked the car travelling at 176 kilometres per hour in an 80 km\/h zone,\u201d said S\/Sgt. Bushell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;78&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the vehicle was stopped and the driver was charged with stunting. His vehicle was seized and towed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report was among those included in the East Hants RCMP\u2019s weekly From the Cruiser police briefs for Jan. 5-12.
