STEWIACKE:<\/strong> The Stewiacke Volunteer Fire Department has recently purchased several new pieces of equipment with the money fundraised through the 50-50 firefighter fundraiser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the new pieces of equipment is a Blitzfire nozzle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, they had the opportunity to train with it prior to putting it into service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training gave them the opportunity to set it up without having to commit a firefighter to sit with it, it can be used to suppress fires and or protect exposed structures in a fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can oscillate back and forth, change nozzle pattern, and have gallons set from 100-500 per minute depending on it’s need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYour support in the 50-50 firefighter fundraiser gives us a chance to improve our equipment and service,\u201d said the post on the department\u2019s FB page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
