FALL RIVER:<\/strong> The Lockview High School Lady Dragons head into an unexpected break due to new COVID19 restrictions being implemented with a perfect record in Metro High School Girls Basketball League play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Dragons entered play the past week plus with a 2-0 (won-loss) record. They added to that handily with three more wins in three straight games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lockview bested Sir John A MacDonald 64-45 on Feb. 18, led by 14 points from D\u2019Aujiah Simmons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Grace Lancaster added 12 points, while Camryn Giddens contributed 10 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”8″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”111″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Feb. 23, Camryn Giddens scored 12 points to lead Lockview past Sackville High 72-34.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Emma Foye added 11 points for the victors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thursday night, Feb. 25, it was an amazing defensive effort from the full roster of the Dragons as they torched Halifax Grammar 65-26 to go to 5-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Grace Lancaster, who is headed to UPEI in the fall, was the points leader with 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Emma Foye, who is in her senior year with LHS, contributed 14 baskets, while D\u2019Aujiah Simmons added 12 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Dragons were scheduled for a busy week next week with three games as the playoffs approached; however, all games have been paused for at least a month due to the new restrictions put in place not allowing sports teams to play games in HRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”25″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”30″]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" [adrotate banner=”113″] [adrotate banner=”84″] FALL RIVER: The Lockview High School Lady Dragons head into an unexpected break due to new COVID19 restrictions being implemented with a perfect record in Metro High School Girls Basketball League play.
