FALL RIVER:<\/strong> A 47-year-old Halifax man has been charged following a brazen home invasion, that left several nearby residents reporting they heard gun shots and a heavy police presence in Fall River in the mid-evening hours of March 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Halifax District RCMP Cpl. Lisa Croteau said that at 8 :25 p.m., officer responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at a home on Fall River Rd. The incident closed down Fall River road near the Metzler Common bmx pit for a short time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhen policed arrived, they arrested a suspect, who was being restrained by occupants of the home,\u201d said Cpl. Croteau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”34″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”7″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n She said a preliminary investigation determined that three people had been inside the home when two male suspects forced their way through the back door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOne of the suspects fled the scene and two occupants were assaulted,\u201d said Cpl. Croteau. \u201cThe third occupant fled the home to call for help.\u201d Cpl. The suspect that fled the home is described as black and he possibly could be driving a grey car.The two occupants that were assaulted suffered non life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by EHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
