COLE HARBOUR<\/strong>: Squealing his tires has landed a 43-year-old Enfield man with charges of impaired driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A Halifax District RCMP officer was on patrol on March 31 at 11:15 p.m. when he heard tires squealing nearby. The office pulled over the suspect vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe driver was asked to provide a breath sample,\u201d said Sgt. Andrew Joyce, spokesman for Halifax District RCMP, in a April 2 press release. \u201cThe driver failed the test and was transported to Cole Harbour detachment to provide further breath samples.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The man was later released and is facing charges of Impaired Driving and Operation of a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80 mg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on May 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”2″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”121″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n The man was one of three people taken off the street for alcohol=-related offences in a three-hour span.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At 1:20 a.m., a member pulled over a car for swerving in the lane, and the driver was asked to provide a breath sample.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The roadside test produced a \u201cwarn\u201d result, and the driver, a 48-year-old Dartmouth woman, received a seven-day suspension of her licence and her vehicle was towed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An hour later, at 2:15 a.m., an RCMP officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The driver, a 20-year-old Dartmouth man, was demanded to provide a sample of his breath.
