Cory Bushell, with East Hants RCMP, writes in the weekly From the Cruiser column, sponsored by GNS Rentals, that officers received a call of a person calling for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlong with firefighters from the Mount Uniacke area, our officers responded and found a lone hiker approximately one kilometre in the woods along a trail,\u201d said S\/Sgt. Bushell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;2&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe hiker had suffered leg injuries and required assistance.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said EHS paramedics attended the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe hiker was evacuated by boat due to remoteness and rough terrain of hiking trail,\u201d said S\/Sgt.
