Houston answered questions on the campaign bus at the old Lawn Guy property before going door knocking with Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank candidate Brian Wong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn terms specifically of the back to school, on Wednesday (Aug. 18) as Premier, I\u2019m going to meet with Dr. Strang to talk about a number of issues, and get some information from public health,\u201d said Houston. &#8220;We\u2019re going to be respectful of Dr. Strang. We\u2019re going to be respectful of public health and the decisions that go forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll have those meetings next week. (Healey photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EDUCATION IMPORTANT TO PC\u2019S<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Houston said the PC Party have met with a lot of educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHealthcare is the top priority, but education is right there too. It\u2019s not minimized in our eyes whatsoever,\u201d Houston said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said a PC government will see the return of school boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018We\u2019re going to return school boards to communities so they can have a say in what happens in their community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the NS PC will respect Nova Scotians, if elected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe number one thing for a PC government is respect Nova Scotians,\u201d said Houston. \u201cRespect healthcare workers; respect educators; respect communities and there abilities to have input into decisions. We\u2019re hearing from them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said those who have come forward to them are encouraged by the investment the PC\u2019s are looking at putting into healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey know they will have a government that will respect healthcare and they\u2019re looking forward to working with us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/IMG_3434-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22995\"\/><figcaption>N.S.
