{"id":24300,"date":"2021-10-20T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-20T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=24300"},"modified":"2021-10-20T11:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-10-20T14:00:00","slug":"dr-strang-to-receive-honorary-diploma-from-nscc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=24300","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Strang to receive Honorary Diploma from NSCC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;93&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;105&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FALL RIVER:<\/strong> The Good Doctor will be recognized by the Nova Scotia Community College with an Honorary Diploma this weekend when they honour the Class of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nscc.ca\/convocation\/graduates\/honorary-diploma-recipient.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Robert Strang<\/a>, Nova Scotia\u2019s Chief Medical Officer of Health and Fall River resident, is this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nscc.ca\/convocation\/graduates\/honorary-diploma-recipient.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Honorary Diploma recipient is<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The College wanted to honour Dr. Strang because of his resolute support for his fellow Nova Scotia citizens throughout the pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe made us all feel as though our health and safety were as much of a concern to him as that of his own family,&#8221; said NSCC President Don Bureaux. &#8220;His modesty of his successes always shines through.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He adds that Dr. Strang emphasized he was accepting the College\u2019s highest honour on behalf of all public health professionals in Nova Scotia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;34&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony, set to start at 3 p.m., will be a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nscc.ca\/convocation\/ceremony\/index.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">virtual event shared online<\/a>.
