{"id":24406,"date":"2021-10-26T12:57:03","date_gmt":"2021-10-26T15:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=24406"},"modified":"2021-10-26T12:57:03","modified_gmt":"2021-10-26T15:57:03","slug":"east-hants-rcmp-share-halloween-safety-tips-to-keep-you-safe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=24406","title":{"rendered":"East Hants RCMP share Halloween safety tips to keep you safe"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;111&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;78&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EAST HANTS:<\/strong> Like their colleagues across N.S., East Hants RCMP have some tips to keep all those trick or treaters safe this Halloween, set for Sunday Oct. 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halloween may still look a bit different this year, but everyone can play a role to keep it both scary and safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you\u2019re driving the little ghosts and goblins around or trick-or-treating on your broom, here are some tips to keep everyone safe this Halloween night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;146&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;145&#8243;]<br \/><br \/>Parents\/Guardians:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Your child\u2019s costume should be visible in the dark. You can add some reflective tape and be sure they have both a flashlight and glow sticks with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; If your child is planning to wear a mask around their eyes, test it to make sure they can see in all directions. If possible, use face paint instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; If your child trick-or-treating without an adult, make sure they have a buddy to go with and discuss a defined route and a curfew.
