{"id":25042,"date":"2021-11-19T01:10:19","date_gmt":"2021-11-19T05:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=25042"},"modified":"2021-11-19T01:10:19","modified_gmt":"2021-11-19T05:10:19","slug":"lady-dragons-capture-capital-region-division-1-volleyball-title","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=25042","title":{"rendered":"Lady Dragons capture Capital Region Division 1 volleyball title"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;95&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;78&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FALL RIVER:<\/strong> The Lockview High Dragons have completed their Capital Region volleyball season with a perfect record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday night Nov. 19, the Dragons capped off their metro league season capturing the Capital Region Division 1 volleyball championship in straight sets over Halifax West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halifax West put in a valiant effort, but the Dragons players were focused on the task at hand and completing their season undefeated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;8&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lockview defeated Halifax West by scores of 25-14; 25-17; and 25-15 before a supportive home crowd at the Fall River school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Dragons, Taven Stevenson was the player of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halifax West&#8217;s Rylee Johnston earned the honour for her efforts for HW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dragons now advance to provincials as the Capital Region champions in two weeks.
