ELMSDALE<\/strong>: Returning to where he allegedly committed an assault added an additional charge for a 43-year-old Lantz man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n East Hants RCMP S\/Sgt. Cory Bushell said police were called on Nov. 20 to the Elmsdale area for a report of an assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAfter officers arrived, they determined the suspect had left in a vehicle and they began efforts to locate him,\u201d said S\/Sgt. Bushell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said they did find him a short time later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA member noticed the suspect\u2019s vehicle drive past him,\u201d he said. \u201cThe member followed the car, which returned back to the scene.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”2″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”147″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n After exiting the vehicle, the driver was immediately identified as the suspect for the assault. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAs members approached him, the suspect exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for impaired driving,\u201d said S\/Sgt. Bushell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said the man was taken to the detachment where he provided samples of his breath which were nearly twice the legal limit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n S\/Sgt.
