Health expanding automated process to include positive COVID-19 test result by email"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;105&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;93&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HALIFAX:<\/strong> Beginning December 22, most Nova Scotians will now be able to receive their COVID-19 positive test results through an automated email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the significant increase of COVID-19 cases in the r province,&nbsp;providing both positive and negative COVID-19 test results by email will remove delays in contacting individuals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The email will include additional instructions from Public Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;34&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;148&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Nova Scotians come for their testing appointment at a COVID-19 testing centre or mobile testing unit, they will be asked at registration for their email and\/or phone number, as well as their health card number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Email auto-notifications require the person to have a valid Nova Scotia health card (MSI). If someone provides an email address, results will be sent via email first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In cases where only a phone number is provided, negative results will be provided by phone (automated call) and positive results by text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;6&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/mail\/u\/0\/#m_233710534310074515_\">Nova Scotians awaiting test results <\/a>should be prepared to enter the last four digits of the health card number to access their results by email or phone. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Email results may be received 24 hours a day, seven days a week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals should check their \u201cJunk\u201d and \u201cOther Inbox\u201d folders for their test results and read all instructions provided in the email.
