NINE MILE RIVER:<\/strong> A mechanical malfunction is the preliminary cause of a single-vehicle collisions that saw a truck fully loaded with furnace oil leave the road on Dec. 23 in Nine Mile River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n East Hants RCMP S\/Sgt. Cory Bushell said there were no serious injuries as a result of the collision on Highway1 4, where the truck came to a rest in a ditch. He said a negligible amount of oil if any spilled from the truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nine Mile River fire responded to the scene and assisted with traffic control and containing any contaminants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”2″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”78″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n S\/Sgt. Bushell said the Department of the Environment was advised and is actively assessing for any environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe company attended with an empty fuel truck and transferred all the fuel from the crashed truck to the other.,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said once empty, tow crews easily removed the truck from the ditch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n S\/Sgt.
