HALIFAX:<\/strong> According to Liberal Leader Iain Rankin, the Houston government’s pandemic strategy is corroded in deficiencies but the biggest flaw of all is that the reported case counts don’t reflect the true status of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Under Premier Tim Houston, Rankin said in a release, Nova Scotia’s pandemic response has veered offcourse with a strategy of relying on rapid tests without having people report the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Without rapid test results, the Houston government isn’t keeping tabs on the spread of this wave,” said Rankin. “Good policy decisions are informed from accurate data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “But it seems the Premier is willing to derail our Omicron response for the sake of convenience.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”31″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”6″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rankin said that rapid tests need to be included in the case counts.
