They were informed a vehicle was hitting parked cars before it got stuck in a construction zone on Commodore Av. in Middle Sackville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen RCMP officers arrived on scene the driver, a 30-year-old man from Ardoise, fled on foot,\u201d said Cpl. Guillaume Tremblay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;34&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;7&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said a person, who witnessed the incident, ran after the man and restrained him until police arrived moments later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhile attempting to break free, the man assaulted the witness,\u201d said Cpl. Tremblay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cpl. Tremblay said the man was arrested safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;72&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clement Anthony Reid, 30, has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Refusal to Comply with Demand<\/li><li>Assault Causing Bodily Harm<\/li><li>Resists Peace Officer<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Reid was held in custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Aug. 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Road safety continues to be a priority for the Nova Scotia RCMP, and they continue to encourage the public to call&nbsp;911&nbsp;if they suspect an impaired driver.
