Cory Bushell said police received a report on Aug. 9 of a suspicious vehicle and driver near the retail plaza in Elmsdale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOfficers attended the scene and spoke with the driver who gave indications of intoxication,\u201d he said. \u201cThe driver was given the roadside screening test which he failed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;2&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;84&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the driver was arrested for impaired driving but when taken to the detachment to provide samples of his breath he refused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Canada, refusal to provide a breath sample carries the same penalty as driving while impaired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\/Sgt.
