ENFIELD:<\/strong> A 22-year-old Enfield man\u2019s attempt to evade police who he spotted at his home Nov. 14 after driving home allegedly impaired didn\u2019t go quite as planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n East Hants RCMP S\/Sgt. Cory Bushell said officers in Enfield were alerted by Halifax District RCMP that a suspected impaired driver was headed their way. He was known to live in Enfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEast Hants officers made an immediate patrol in the direction of the suspect\u2019s residence,\u201d said S\/Sgt. Bushell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”2″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”156″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said that\u2019s when the man tried to evade the police, including running into the woods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhile police were in the area, the suspect drove past and abandoned his vehicle a short distance away,\u201d said S\/Sgt. Bushell. \u201cThe suspect was located after a brief search of the wooded area nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The man was arrested for impaired driving and taken to provide samples of his breath, which proved to be in excess of the legal limit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n S\/Sgt.
