{"id":33819,"date":"2023-01-22T16:34:04","date_gmt":"2023-01-22T20:34:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=33819"},"modified":"2023-01-22T16:34:04","modified_gmt":"2023-01-22T20:34:04","slug":"wride-signs-with-mounties-football","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=33819","title":{"rendered":"Wride signs with Mounties football"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;126&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;111&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BEAVER BANK:<\/strong> A Beaver Bank football player will be donning the colours of the Mount Allison Mounties next September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Atlantic University Sport (AUS)-based Mounties announced the news of Cohen Wride\u2019s commitment on their Facebook page on Jan. 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wride was recently named team MVP for the Lockview High Dragons football team when they held their awards banquet at the Waverley Legion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;115&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;78&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The receiver played with Team Nova Scotia last summer, winning gold at the Atlantic Bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his senior year with Lockview High, he was receiver, DB, and kicker playing both sides of the ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wride finished the year with nine touchdowns and four interceptions.
