BEDFORD:<\/strong> The Fall River U-17 Fury keep on winning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the Bedford Blizzard Invitational this weekend at Ecole Sommet, the Fury went undefeated in round robin, semi-final play and then won the tournament banner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In round robin action Fury finished with a 3-0 record, with wins over Red Mudd, Sonics (Sackville) and Chill (Bridgewater).<\/p>\n\n\n\n In semi final action, Fury defeated Attackers (Sydney) setting up a finals clash with Blizzard (Bedford).<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”115″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”8″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n Against the Blizzard, the Fury started out strong and won the gold in straight sets 2-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sierra Sarty of Bedford had an impressive 11 straight service points in set two to lead Fury to the straight set win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Libero Sophie Hunt, a Windsor Junction product, was named Player of the Tournament for her defensive play and backcourt passing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”188″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”84″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n This weekend\u2019s results pushes the Fury\u2019s season record to an impressive 47 wins and seven losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They also have one tie so far on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The U-17 girls take the court at Lunenburg Academy versus Chill on April 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”190″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”111″]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" [adrotate banner=”78″] [adrotate banner=”126″] BEDFORD: The Fall River U-17 Fury keep on winning.
