After her death she found it difficult to find books which would help her with the grief that followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s what spurred the idea for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/Healing-Our-Wounded-Hearts-teenager\/dp\/B0BW2X9G7J\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Healing Our Wounded Hearts: A real life story about loss in the voice of a teenager<\/a>. It recently became available through Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChildren and teens are expected to grieve the same as adults,\u201d said Hahn, who lives in Saanich, B.C., in a post sent to The Laker News. \u201cIn fact there are similarities, but our brains are not fully developed yet but we often have bigger and stronger emotions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;71&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;126&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book is written in the voice of a teenager as a teenager and is an account of finding her voice through all this loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLearning to express my feelings through dance, poetry, and writing gives me space for my grief,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m now allowing myself to feel it because I will no longer put it away because grief doesn\u2019t belong pent up in a cage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hahn\u2019s father John is proud of what his daughter has accomplished, and that\u2019s evident in the emails back and forth with us here at The Laker News.
