LANTZ:<\/strong> \u00a0A 26-year-old Enfield man has been charged with assault and resisting arrest after refusing to leave when requested at East Hants Tide Fest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to East Hants RCMP Const. Preston Burns, the Community Policing Officer, said police were called to remove a patron after an incident at the East Hants Sportsplex in Lantz on July 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA man had pushed a guard after being told to leave the event,\u2019 said Const. Burns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”111″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”190″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n Upon arrival, Const. Burns said, the suspect, 26-year-old Devon Rose of Enfield saw the officers and attempted to run away, pushing himself into several officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRose was brought to the floor, but he continued to resist arrest and fought with officers,\u201d said Const. Burns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA conducted energy weapon (CEW\/ TASER) was deployed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”84″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”2″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rose was taken into custody without injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He has been charged with Assault and Resisting Arrest, said Const.
