BEAVER BANK<\/strong>: $2,100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That\u2019s how much a simple idea from a goalie that calls Beaver Bank raised through her Maritime Major Female Hockey League team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kaitlyn Langille, a Lockview High student, spearheaded the ACTION benefits Penguins \u201cStops Against Cancer\u201d drive during the month of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Combined with the amount of money raised from the team\u2019s Pink in the Rink game, the total raised in the fight against cancer was $2,100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”190″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”111″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n Langille was overwhelmed with the support she received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI have never experienced the amount of support that I had over the past month,\u201d said Langille. \u201cI want to thank my teammates, coaches and hockey communities for their ongoing support with this fundraiser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI know that this would have made Nan proud.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Penguins raised %1,600 from \u201cStops Against Cancer\u201d and then $500 from the Pink in the Rink game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The money will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society in the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”188″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”84″]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" [adrotate banner=”115″] [adrotate banner=”78″] BEAVER BANK: $2,100.
