COLCHESTER COUNTY:<\/strong> RCMP in Colchester County has charged a man with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking following a theft from a hardware store in Truro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On November 13, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Colchester County District RCMP, assisted by RCMP Northeast Traffic Services, responded to a report of theft that occurred at a hardware store on Robie St. <\/p>\n\n\n\n RCMP officers learned that two people stole merchandise before fleeing the scene in a Hyundai Genesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”115″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”2″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n An RCMP officer quickly located the suspect vehicle, which was occupied by one man, in a nearby parking lot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The man was safely arrested after he attempted to reverse over a retaining wall and got stuck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When the 36-year-old Dartmouth man was searched, RCMP officers located and seized more than 30 grams of Methamphetamines, a knife and stolen batteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lawrence Donald Cameron has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”78″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”190″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cameron appeared in Truro Provincial Court yesterday and was remanded in custody. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He\u2019s scheduled to return in court on November 22, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The investigation is ongoing; officers are searching for the second suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Colchester County DistrictRCMP at 902-896-5000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
