NOVA SCOTIA:<\/strong> The cost of living crisis is affecting charities in many different ways, and they need support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to an October 2023 Ipsos Poll a quarter (24%) of Canadians expect they will need to access charitable services to meet their essential needs, such as food, clothing, or shelter, in the next six months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n While the 2023 CanadaHelps Giving Report states that 57% of charities are reporting that they are unable to meet current levels of demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Charities and nonprofits rely on the generosity of donors across a variety of industries:helping put food on the table, promoting art and culture, helping with daily living, and the environment.
