Guillaume Tremblay, with RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, said at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 17 the Special Enforcement Section of the RCMP\/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, assisted by the RCMP Street Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at a home on Tache St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A warrant was also executed on a vehicle located in a parking lot on Dispensing Way, in relation to an ongoing drugs and weapons investigation that began in November of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;127&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cpl. Tremblay said outside of the residence, police safely arrested a 50-year-old Lower Sackville man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDuring the arrest, officers seized 10 grams of cocaine pre-packaged for distribution and 20 hydromorphone pills,\u201d said Cpl. Tremblay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A search of the property then resulted in the seizure of scales, over $4,000 cash, more than 30 grams of cocaine, and in excess of 500 hydromorphone pills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, officers located eight handguns and a loaded shotgun, all registered to the man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the search of the man\u2019s vehicle, officers located an additional 12 grams of cocaine pre-packaged for distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;ADVERTISEMENT: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;34&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;206&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cpl. Tremblay said Terry Michel Danny Cousineau, 50, has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine and Hydromorphone) for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Property Obtained by Crime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Careless Use of a Firearm (eight counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Careless Storage of a Firearm (eight counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer of a Firearm Without Authority (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Report Losing a Firearm (two count)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Cousineau appeared in court, on January 17, and was remanded into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was scheduled to return to Dartmouth Provincial Court later on Jan. 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cpl.
