Sinnott said It was a no brainier for the WCA to support the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s always great to be able to support projects in your own community,\u201d said Sinnott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He WAAA Volunteer Mary McDaid made a presentation to the WCA about the project and the shortfall in funding, so they knew they could help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMary did a great presentation to our group, and it\u2019s all money from Waverley for a project in our own community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen the WCA and WAA succeed in our community we all succeed and it benefits everyone,\u201d he said. \u201cThis was a really good opportunity and we\u2019re happy to support it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pavilion will be inclusive as those with accessibility issues and wheelchairs will be able to use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parrott spoke of what the Pavilion will mean for users of McDonald Sports Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think it will be a launch point to start their day; to picnic; for groups to use it,\u201d said Parrott. \u201cIt\u2019ll be a central starting point for people using it to get out of the sun and rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said there will be picnic tables put in place in the Spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019ll be a gathering spot,\u201d said Parrott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaybe we will have guitars and people singing in the evenings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BOMAC Signature Homes and RAPCO, both local companies, are the crews doing the work. They were praised for the work they\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
