Liberal party said in a release on Feb. 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, Opposition Leader Zach Churchill said his team will keep pushing for broad tax relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled the Premier and his finance minister have finally acted on our ideas to end bracket creep and introduce a school lunch program,\u201d said Churchill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThese changes will leave more money in the pockets of Nova Scotians, but we\u2019re still paying the highest sales tax in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate group=”7″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”34″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Liberals have been advocating to reduce the HST by two points, bringing sales tax in Nova Scotia to 13 per cent \u2013 the lowest in Atlantic Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe have the money to cut the HST \u2013 the Premier collected nearly a billion more in taxes than expected last year,\u201d said Churchill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis change would save Nova Scotians money nearly every time they have to spend, and it will also make our province more attractive for business and people in important sectors, like healthcare and labour.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Budget 2024-25 also included two other Liberal policies: covering continuous glucose monitors for diabetics and expanding cell coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”148″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”31″]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" [adrotate banner=”105″] [adrotate banner=”127″] From a release: HALIFAX: Several Liberal policies have been adopted by the province with Budget 2024-25, the N.S.
