Firefighters 50\/50 draw, they have been able to purchase equipment for saltwater rescue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The department recently purchased additional equipment for that capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is an area the department has been involved in for over 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;2&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;78&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn fact we were one of the first departments in the province to invest in the training and equipment for this type of emergency,\u201d the department said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the support and additional equipment purchase, Lantz Fire can now respond with nine fully equipped Swiftwater Rescue Technicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This allows them to deal with extended emergencies or incidents at multiple locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;87&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;105&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;111&#8243;] [adrotate banner=&#8221;115&#8243;] LANTZ: Firefighters with Lantz Fire are evolving their techniques to better protect the community.
