UPDATED MAY 11 at 11:05 a.m.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n WAVERLEY:<\/strong> It was a dazzling night of support for youth sport and recreation in our communities on April 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A total of $8,000 was raised, organizers said, for youth through the Community Champions gala organized and put on by the Fall River & Area Business Association (FRABA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n When we spoke to them on the night of the event, they had hoped to raise more than $6,000, and exceeded that number once it was all said and done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The night featured great entertainment, delectable treats, and some drinks from a variety of local vendors all in support of local youth activities, arts, and sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There was even some non-alcoholic drinks available, and finger food from The Fourth Lock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Tyler MacNeil, from Premier Mortgage, spoke at the start of the night to the more than 150 or so in attendance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A complementary drink glass will be provided by Instant Imprints, a FRABA member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All funds raised on the night are going to the FRABA Community Youth Activity & Sport Committee so they can give it back to local youth activities in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”34″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”148″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Community Champions Gala took place April 27 at Cheema Aquatic Club, located at 135 Champions Way in Waverley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lower Sackville crooner Jon Cyr was the musical entertainment for the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here is the video story, sponsored by Joanne Pullin, eXp Realty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Video shot\/edited by Matt Dagley<\/p>\n\n\n\n VIDEO:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
