{"id":45344,"date":"2024-05-21T12:12:26","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T15:12:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=45344"},"modified":"2024-05-21T12:12:26","modified_gmt":"2024-05-21T15:12:26","slug":"police-arrest-masstown-man-on-child-pornography-related-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=45344","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest Masstown man on child pornography related charges"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;105&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;188&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MASSTOWN:<\/strong> A 25-year-old Masstown man has been arrested for offences related to child pornography, RCMP say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police said that on May 20, the RCMP&#8217;s Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, with assistance from Colchester County RCMP and RCMP Digital Forensic Services, executed a search warrant at a home in Masstown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Investigators were directed to the residence after Lincoln City Police (Oregon, U.S.) advised that a person was communicating with a person believed to be a child online in a sexual manner,&#8221; the RCMP said in a release on May 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;34&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;7&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the search and subsequent investigation, Wayne Missons, 25, has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Luring a Child<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Child Pornography<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transmitting Child Pornography<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inciting Bestiality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Missons was released on conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on July 10, 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;92&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Nova Scotia, it\u2019s mandatory for citizens to report suspected child pornography.
