(Jackie Putnam\/submitted)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;115&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;111&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said \u201cI Wanted to be Free\u201d is about the Bay of Fundy where she can walk across the ocean floor because of our World\u2019s Highest Tides that roll in and out every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI wrote \u201cI Wanted To Be Free\u201d during a difficult period of my life, wanting to be free from the hell I was going through,\u201d said Putnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen I walk across the ocean floor, I feel better, the pores of my feet soak in all of that good positive energy from the tidal force from the waves that come crashing in on the beach every day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She began writing the song one summer evening, in the back yard at a friend\u2019s house, in Truro, NS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was recorded it at FMP Matrix in Dartmouth, and the video was filmed in three locations, Parrsboro, Five Islands, and Little Dyke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;218&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;34&#8243;}<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Putnam collaborated with esteemed Canadian musicians, including John Campbelljohn, Bruce Dixon, Kim Dunn, Scott Ferguson, and Ray Legere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These award-winning artists provided their expertise to beautifully complement her heartfelt lyrics and melodies, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Jackie-Putnam-Photo-3-1024x819.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46889\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Jackie Putnam sings at a concert performance.
