Province responds on twitter, saying <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n they’re investing to improve cell coverage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n ELMSDALE:<\/strong> The MP for Kings-Hants is calling on residents to help him voice their concerns over the inadequate cell coverage throughout the Municipality of East Hants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In an email the East Hants and Districts Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of Kings Hants MP Kody Blois, sent out a message to their membership saying that cellular coverage across East Hants has not improved over the last year and maybe has even worsened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMany residences and businesses have little to no connection – dropped calls, calls that don’t connect, and text messages not sending,\u201d said the message which echoes a video on Instagram and making its way across Facebook and Twitter form Blois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n MP Blois video:<\/strong> https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/1038780224466765<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”87″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”190″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n The message said that the issue is not only causing economic hardship for local businesses, but it is also a matter of safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n While the Government of NS announced the $18.6M Cellular of Nova Scotia Program<\/em><\/a> and with Rogers <\/strong>and Build Nova Scotia <\/strong>partnering to install 27 new cellular towers across the province, Blois wants to ensure the project helps to support the gap areas in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
