He\u2019s asking residents to sign it to help him send a message. In July, N.S. announced the $18.6M <a href=\"https:\/\/ehcc.us8.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=1173505f5dba41eedeb258079&amp;id=4b1cfac8c3&amp;e=6e7aa08a73\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cellular of Nova Scotia Program<\/a>&nbsp;and with Rogers and Build Nova Scotia partnering to install 27 new cellular towers across the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI fully applaud the Tim Houston government for announcing in July 27 new towers across the province,\u201d he said. \u201cI think that\u2019s a good thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEast Hants is going to be well served at least based on what I can see form the Build Nova Scotia plan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said there are some concern in West Hants and Kings County where no new towers are planned to be built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blois said this petition is an information exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s being done so it can draw in information that can be shared to the telecoms, to Build Nova Scotia and to the CRTC as a way to constructively raise this issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not trying to be partisan at all. I\u2019m not trying to point fingers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;218&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;78&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was asked about why its important for people to sign the petition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Anytime people do a petition or sign one it draws advocacy to the issue,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video he posted about Send the Signal has been viewed by almost 80,000 people on Facebook and 5,000 on Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis all starts a conversation,\u201d he said. \u201cThis gives me a license as an MP to use the information and feedback as a mechanism to engage with private telecom companies, the province through Build Nova Scotia in a constructive way, and with my own government with the CRTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI want to be able to move the needle on this, and frankly as an MP I threw my hand sup saying I don\u2019t know how to get this thing done but I want to be able to use this petition as a way to draw attention to the issue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;115&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;92&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blois said he went out of his way in the video and the media he has done to applaud what the province has done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think its good leadership that they\u2019ve introduced 27 towers,\u201d he said. \u2018When I look at the towers to be built in HRM, according to Build Nova Scotia, they will be able to support the areas in the corridor and there are some in the Walton area.
