{"id":48485,"date":"2024-09-18T15:30:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=48485"},"modified":"2024-09-18T15:30:00","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T18:30:00","slug":"nathan-langille-andrew-lively-brandon-mcgrath-first-time-feature-winners-at-scotia-speedworld","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=48485","title":{"rendered":"Nathan Langille, Andrew Lively, Brandon McGrath first-time feature winners at Scotia Speedworld"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;111&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;115&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD:<\/strong> It was a night of first at the second to last Bay Equipment Rentals Weekly Racing Series of 2024 at Scotia Speedworld last Friday, Sept. 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the race night there were three first-time feature checkered flag winners who parked their hot rods in The Tire Man Victory Lane among the seven features that ran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two of the features were held overs from the rain out the week before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the winners who found victory lane on top for the first time were the no. 29 of Brandon McGrath; the sportsman of no 25 Andrew Lively; and Legend driver Nathan Langille in the no. 19 machine, sponsored by CKG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;8&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;92&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Strictly Hydraulics division, Coldbrook\u2019s Nathan Langille raced to his first ever checkered flag after misfortune struck leader Danny Chisholm on lap 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Langille would not let the lead go in the caution free affair and raced to the victory by over a half straightaway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ayden Christensen of Windsor Junction was fourth, while honourary Lakeview resident Campbell Delaney, who earned a heat win, finished in fifth in the feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strictly Hydraulics Legends \u2013 25 laps \u2013 held over feature<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. <\/strong>19 Nathan Langille<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. <\/strong>39 Chase Livingston<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. &nbsp;<\/strong>71M Chase Mackay<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. <\/strong>24 Ayden Christensen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. <\/strong>9 Campbell Delaney<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heat 1:&nbsp; <\/strong>89 Danny Chisholm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heat 2: <\/strong>13 Aiden MacDonald<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heat 3: <\/strong>9 Campbell Delaney<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the regular scheduled race action, it was Nine Mile River brothers Colton Noble and Dawson Nobler duking it out, and even tangling which saw the 03 use a bump and run to get brother Dawson in the 8 loose and making the pass. That\u2019s all Colton would need as he sailed to the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christensen was third, while fellow Kennetcook racer Nate Singer brought the no. 81 across the line in fifth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawson Nobel, Chase MacKay, and rookie Sam MacDonald continues to impress with another heat race win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strictly Hydraulics Legends \u2013 25 laps<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. <\/strong>03 Colton Noble<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. <\/strong>8 Dawson Noble<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. <\/strong>24 AydenChristensen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. <\/strong>39 Chase Livingston<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. <\/strong>81 Nate Singer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heat 1:&nbsp; <\/strong>14 Sam MacDonald<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heat 2: <\/strong>8 Dawson Noble<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heat 3: &nbsp;<\/strong>71M Chase MacKay<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;78&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;218&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brandon McGrath qualified on the pole for the feature after winning his heat race and set sail once the green flag flew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He finished ahead of Addison Veinotte (Porters Lake) and Shelby Chisholm (Antigonish), who fought from the back after a last lap caution in the heat race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rookie Ben Turple of Enfield was fourth for his best finish of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Unofficial feature results<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blue Nose Pools Beg. Bandolero \u2013 12 laps&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. 29 Brandon McGrath<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. 11 Addison Veinotte<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. 12 Shelby Chisholm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. 4 Ben Turple<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. &nbsp;15 Adlee Lively<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heat 1:<\/strong>&nbsp; 29 Brandon McGrath<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was an exciting end for Lakeview\u2019s Hailey Bland as she found feature victory lane for the second time this season, her final in the Bandolero class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a pair of cautions, the No. 27 Dartmouth Metals-sponsored bando was in second on a Lap Four restart to four time feature winner Avery DeCoste (Antigonish).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DeCoste would have issues on the next lap, handing the lead over to Bland, a lead she would not look back from en route to the win.<br \/><br \/>Bella Pashkoski (Beaver Bank) came home in second place and, with the issues for DeCoste and a heat race win for the No. 85, extended her lead to 20 points with just three feature events to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bristol Matthews (Nine Mile River) was third and Emma MacMillan (Maitland) was fourth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blue Nose Pools Outlaw Bandolero \u2013 15 laps&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. 27 Hailey Bland<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. &nbsp;85 Bella Pashkoski<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. 99 Bristol Matthews<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. 92 Emma MacMillan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. 47 Irelyn Rose<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heat 1:<\/strong>&nbsp; 85 Bella Pashkoski &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;206&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;67&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/459362835_10169052392255315_7988547994534017797_n-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48487\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Andrew Lively got the no 25 into Sportsman victory lane for his first feature checkered flag.
