ELMSDALE:<\/strong> Family Literacy Day will be celebrated a bit early this year in Elmsdale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Free Family Ceilidh that is open to everyone in the East Hants community is set for Jan. 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be held at the East Hants Community Learning\/Community Rider building at 224 on Hwy 214 in Elmsdale. It will run from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the same building that East Hants Family Resource Centre is located in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among some of the fun activities will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Step Dancing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Try on a kilt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Learn a bit of Gaelic<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Join in a Milling Frolic<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Music, games, and door prizes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Irish stew, soup, and snacks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To help organize anticipate numbers folks are asked to register in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
