{"id":52238,"date":"2025-02-11T12:03:34","date_gmt":"2025-02-11T16:03:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=52238"},"modified":"2025-02-11T12:03:34","modified_gmt":"2025-02-11T16:03:34","slug":"woman-dead-two-others-sent-to-hospital-with-life-threatening-injuries-following-lower-sackville-mvc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=52238","title":{"rendered":"Woman dead, two others sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries following Lower Sackville MVC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;105&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;126&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LOWER SACKVILLE:<\/strong> A 50-year-old woman is dead and two others were sent to hospital with life-threatening following a single-vehicle collision on Monday morning in Lower Sackville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collision shutdown a major roadway, Sackville Drive, in Lower Sackville for several hours as police investigated the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police responded at 9:35 a.m., along with EHS and fire services from Sackville, to the collision near Hillcrest Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;RCMP officers learned that a Mazda 3 was travelling on the road when left the roadway and struck a power pole,&#8221; a release indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rear passenger, a 50-year-old woman from Lake Echo, was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;127&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver, a 53-year-old man from North Preston, and another passenger, a 56-year-old man from Dartmouth, both suffered life-threatening injuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both were transported to hospital by EHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
