{"id":52625,"date":"2025-02-28T08:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T12:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=52625"},"modified":"2025-02-28T08:30:00","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T12:30:00","slug":"new-visitor-pass-for-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=52625","title":{"rendered":"New visitor pass for hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;188&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;127&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HALIFAX:<\/strong> Effective Feb. 27, QEII\u2019s Halifax Infirmary (HI) emergency department (ED) is implementing a new visitor pass system to enhance security and safety at the site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a pilot program as part of the safety improvements underway in the emergency department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you need to know:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All visitors will be issued a wearable badge upon entry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Security will also log your time of arrival and departure from the department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The badge must be worn and visible at all times while inside the HI ED<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visitors who leave the emergency department, even briefly, will be required to undergo re-screening upon re-entry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visitors who plan to leave the department for more than one hour should return their pass to any security officer stationed in the area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Nova Scotia Health appreciates your patience and cooperation when visiting the emergency department.
