OTTAWA, ONT.:<\/strong> The MP for Kings Hants will have a role in Prime Minister Mark Carney’s new cabinet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kody Blois, who is proud to be from East Hants and calls Lantz home, was named as Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Rural Economic Development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Blois was named as one of the 23 cabinet ministers to join Carney, who was sworn in as Prime Minister as well on March 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ceremony was presided over by Canada’s Governor General Mary Simon at Rideau Hall in Ottawa, Ont.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”236″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”31″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Blois said he was honoured to be named to the role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “An immense privilege to be named Canada\u2019s Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Rural Economic Development,” said Blois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “I would like to thank Prime Minister Mark Carney for the confidence he has placed in me at such a critical time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “It’s time to build.
