{"id":54007,"date":"2025-04-30T12:03:01","date_gmt":"2025-04-30T15:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=54007"},"modified":"2025-04-30T12:03:01","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T15:03:01","slug":"installation-at-msvu-honours-mmwig-and-2slgbtqia-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=54007","title":{"rendered":"Installation at MSVU honours MMWIG and 2SLGBTQIA+ people"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;127&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;192&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BEDFORD:<\/strong> On Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Mount Saint Vincent University in Bedford will be home to an installation honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ people.<strong><br><br><\/strong>The installation is open to the public.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All are welcome.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;54&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be opportunities for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Learning<\/strong>: explore videos, poster presentations, stories<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reflection and Action<\/strong>: make a faceless doll, leave a confidential note or prayer (to be burned in a sacred fire), sign a petition to demand action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The installation will be open from <strong>10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 5<\/strong> and <strong>10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 6<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An opening ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on May 5.<br><br>It will be located in Evaristus Hall at 145 College Road on the MSVU campus, in rooms C305 and C307, accessed via the main floor (2<sup>nd<\/sup> floor). Parking is available in the lots adjacent to the building.
